The Harris Rock ( Spanish Roca Harris ) is a cliff rock in the Joinville Islands group off the northern tip of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is the largest and southernmost of the three rocks north of Montrol Rock and D'Urville Island in the Bransfield Strait .
Participants in an Argentine Antarctic expedition carried out from 1956 to 1957 named him after Santiago Harris († 1868), captain of the Argentine Navy . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee translated this designation into English in 1964.
