Harry Wyndham Jefferson (born March 9, 1849 in Mumbai , India , † June 23, 1918 in Alcombe ) was a British sailor .

Harry Jefferson participated in the Olympics in 1900 in Paris , where he in a competition on the Seine in Meulan-en-Yvelines took. In the boat class 3 to 10 tons he missed the first race due to customs problems with the boat, but became Olympic champion in the second race . Together with Edward Hore he was a crew member of the Bona Fide under skipper Howard Taylor .

Jefferson was a stockbroker with government bonds came to power and lived in London . He owned several yachts. Jefferson died in 1918 after a long illness. His son was a major in the Royal Army Service Corps and died in the Middle East in 1941.
