Harry Lienau

Harry Lienau (born May 21, 1955 in Glückstadt ) is a German engineer and politician ( CDU ) and member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

Life

After primary and secondary school Harry Lienau attended the technical high school from 1971 to 1975. From 1976 to 1981 he studied at the technical college. He was then employed as a surveyor from 1981 to 1990. In 1993 and 1994 he trained as a high-level surveying administration service.

Lienau was a freelance surveyor from 1991 to 2012 and a publicly appointed surveyor from 1995 to 2012 . In 2005 he founded the GbR LT-Info Harry Lienau / Jens Tetzlaff. In 2012 Lienau applied for the opening of private insolvency proceedings, in the course of which he resigned his position as a publicly appointed surveyor and sold his company.

Lienau has been a volunteer member of the Saxony-Anhalt Chamber of Engineers and Architects since 1996. Since 2001 he has been a member of the CDU's SME Association. He is also a member of the Farmers' Association Burgenlandkreis e. V. and was organized in the Federation of Publicly Appointed Surveying Engineers (BDVI).

Lienau is non-denominational, married and has three children.

Harry Lienau joined the CDU in 1995. He has been a local board member since 1999. Between 2000 and 2006 he was a member of the district board in Weißenfels . From 2001 to 2006 Lienau was chairman of the CDU district association Weißenfels / Hohenmölsen and from 2006 to 2008 local chairman of the CDU Weißenfels.

In April 2002 Lienau entered the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt for the first time. In the following 5th electoral term on September 16, 2008 he succeeded André Schröder . He was a member of the Committee for Federal and European Affairs and the Media and the Committee for Regional Development and Transport.

In the state elections in 2011 he won the direct mandate in constituency 45 ( Hohenmölsen-Weißenfels ) and thus managed to return to the state parliament.

For the election of the 7th state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt on March 13, 2016 , Lienau again ran in state parliament constituency 43 - Weißenfels, but lost the direct mandate to Marcus Spiegelberg (AfD) with 23.2% , who received 31.8% of the first votes. Lienau also did not enter the state parliament via the state list. Since Magdeburg MP Florian Philipp resigned his state parliament mandate on July 31, 2019, Lienau moved back to the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt in August 2019.
