Florian Jürgen Philipp (* 24. February 1980 in Magdeburg ) is a German politician of the CDU and former deputy in the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

Life

From 1986 to 1996 Philipp attended elementary school and high school "Wilhelm Weitling" in Magdeburg. He then completed a three-year training course as a retail salesman in his hometown. From 1999 to 2000 he did community service in a social housing facility. He then worked in retail and industry until 2005. In addition to his professional activity, from 2001 to 2004 he completed an evening course in business administration (VWA) at the Administration and Business Academy in Magdeburg. From 2005 to 2010 he studied economics at the Harz University of Applied Sciences in Wernigerode , at the Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers and at the Aarhus School of Business . He completed his studies with a Magister Scientiarum. Since 2011 he has been a doctoral candidate at Clausthal University of Technology .

Philipp has been working for the Wolfsburg-based car manufacturer Volkswagen since 2011 . From 2011 to 2013 he was a doctoral candidate in the areas of Group Price Management (international) and China Market Management; since 2014 he has been working in the field of international business management.

Philipp has been chairman of the CDU local association Am Neustädter Feld since June 2015. When the party-internal nomination of the direct candidate for the state election in March 2016 in constituency 12 (Magdeburg III) , he surprisingly prevailed against the favorite Wigbert Schwenke . In the state elections, he won the direct mandate with 30.1% of the first votes and moved to the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt as a member.

In the state parliament session in September 2016, Florian Philipp was appointed chairman of the 15th parliamentary committee of inquiry "Consultant contracts".

On April 4, 2019, Philipp was elected by the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament as a member of the Senate of the Saxony-Anhalt State Audit Office . He resigned from his state parliament mandate on July 31, 2019 in order to be able to take up the new office on August 1, 2019. He was succeeded by Harry Lienau after.

Philipp was an active Taekwondo athlete in the 1990s . In 1995 and 1996 he was German B youth champion, 1997 German A youth champion. From 1994 to 1996 he was also a member of the German national Taekwondo team.

Florian Philipp has two children with his wife.
