DJ Taylor
David John Taylor (born August 22, 1960 in Norwich ) is a British writer and literary historian.
Life
David John Taylor attended school in Norwich . He studied history at St John's College , Oxford . Taylor was a member of the Norwich Writers' Circle.
Taylor writes reviews for The Daily Telegraph , The Guardian , The Independent , New Statesman , The Spectator , Private Eye, and Literary Review .
His novel Trespass was nominated for the Booker Prize in 1998 and the novel Derby Day was nominated for the Man Booker Prize in 2011 . In 1999 the Italian translation of the novel English Settlement received the Grinzane Cavour Prize . He received the 2003 Whitbread Biography Award for his biography of George Orwell . He received a shared Sidewise Award in 2013 for the novel The Windsor Faction .
Taylor is married to the writer Rachel Hore and they live in Norwich with their three children.
