Harry M. Hallman

Harry M. Hallman (born July 30, 1934 in Greenwood , South Carolina , † January 8, 2011 in Mount Pleasant , South Carolina) was the 33rd Mayor of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

Hallman studied at the University of South Carolina , where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1958 . From 1988 to 1996 he was elected a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives . In September 2000, he was elected Mayor of Mount Pleasant. In 2004 he was re-elected. In May 2009 he abdicated due to an illness.

Hallman was married with a son and two daughters and six grandchildren. Hallman received an honorary doctorate from the University of Charleston .
