Harry Mutuma Kathurima (born August 20, 1952 in Meru ) is a Kenyan diplomat . Kathurima was the Kenyan ambassador to Germany from August 2005 to September 2010 .

Kathurima studied humanities at the University of Nairobi and graduated in 1976. In 1982 he finished his studies in public administration at the University of Birmingham . Kathurima worked as a district official in the Malindi District in the late 1970s , after which he worked in the office of the provincial council in Mombasa until 1982. 1985 he moved to the office of the president, where Kathurima worked as ministerial director. This was followed by a post as State Secretary in the Foreign Ministry, from 1991 to 1997 he was Chief of Protocol there. This was followed by positions in the Ministry of Settlements and the Ministry for Joint Development. From 2000 to 2003 Kathurima was the chairman of the pension authority. In 2004 he was appointed to the diplomatic service and served as High Commissioner in New Delhi . During the two-year stay in India, Kathurima was also accredited for Bangladesh , Singapore and Sri Lanka . From August 2005 to September 2010 Kathurima was the Kenyan ambassador to Germany.

Kathurima is married and has two children.
