In addition, Lautenschlager was elected the new regional chairman of the Tyrolean Senior Citizens' Association on May 16, 2007 and worked in the FPÖ Tyrol as a regional organizer. After Gerald Hauser moved from the National Council to the Tyrolean state parliament, Hartmann Lautenschlager received his mandate for the Tyrolean electoral district on July 8, 2008.
