Hartmut Mayerhoffer (born July 26, 1969 in Großsanktnikolaus , Romania ) is a former German handball player and today coach of the Frisch Auf Göppingen club .

Career

During his active time as a handball player, Mayerhoffer played alongside other stations for four years for the second division club VfL Günzburg .

As a coach, he took over the regional league team TSV Friedberg in 2009 and led him from the regional league to the third division. In 2013 Bayern celebrated winning the third division championship. Mayerhoffer then moved to the Württemberg second division club SG BBM Bietigheim , which he led to promotion to the Bundesliga in his first year. He gained first division experience with Bietigheim in the 2014/15 season. With the renewed promotion with Bietigheim in summer 2018, he moved to Frisch Auf Göppingen in the handball Bundesliga for the 2018/19 season.

Mayerhoffer was named “Coach of the Season” in the Second Bundesliga by the DKB Handball Bundesliga in the 2017/18 season.
