Sebastian Heymann (born March 1, 1998 in Heilbronn ) is a German handball player who plays for Frisch Auf Göppingen in the Bundesliga .

Athletic career

At the age of 17 he made his debut for his home club TSB Heilbronn-Horkheim in the 3rd division . In 2016 he signed a professional contract with Bundesliga club Frisch Auf Göppingen with the right to play two games at Horkheim. Heymann made his first division debut on September 11, 2016 against GWD Minden , when he scored six goals in 25 minutes. At the European Youth Championship in 2016 he won the bronze medal with the German team and was appointed to the All-Star team. Heymann played in the U-21 national team at the age of 19 and finished fourth with Germany at the 2017 Junior World Cup . In the 2017/18 season, Heymann was out for more than four months due to a metatarsal fracture. After strong performances in the preliminary round of the 2018/19 Bundesliga season, national coach Christian Prokop appointed him to the 28-man squad for the 2019 World Cup .

Heymann made his international debut for the German national team on March 9, 2019 .
