Hartmut Mirbach

Hartmut Mirbach (born July 12, 1949 in Lobberich , North Rhine-Westphalia , † June 13, 2011 in Nettetal ) was a German photographer and painter .

Life

From 1970 to 1977 Mirbach studied at the State Art Academy in Düsseldorf with Joseph Beuys , Erwin Heerich and Werner Spies . 1983 followed a stay in Tuscany and the beginning of themed photography. In the same year, the book "Everyday life on the Lower Rhine - Photographs", created together with Paul Wans , was published.

Since 1995 he has been working on the further development of art projects using computer technology and since 2001 he has created works on a large-scale group of works with watercolors as quotes from art history and trivial areas.

Mirbach's photographic work was presented in 1987 in a WDR television portrait of Helge Drafz in connection with the book “Schöne Wochen”. In 1990 Uri Schneider shot a WDR television report about Mirbach's photo work on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Maas-Schwalm-Nette nature park .

Mirbach can refer to the collaboration on catalogs for artists and museums, as well as to various publications in photo and literary magazines.

Mirbach worked as a specialist teacher at the Werner-Jaeger-Gymnasium Nettetal until spring 2010 .
