Hartmut Schwesinger

Hartmut Schwesinger (born August 3, 1949 in Hamburg ) is a German manager and managing director of the location marketing company FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH International Marketing of the Region.

Life

Schwesinger studied chemistry for a diploma at the University of Hamburg. The diploma was followed in 1979 by a dissertation in the same department in cooperation with the Institute for Wood Chemistry of the Federal Research Institute for Forestry and Market Management (since 2008 Johann Heinrich von Thünen Institute, Federal Research Institute for Rural Areas, Forests and Fisheries ).

From 1980 to 1993 he was employed by Deutsche Shell AG . His career began as an operations assistant in the Hamburg refinery. From 1983 to 1985 he was a technologist in The Hague before moving to the marketing and sales department of Deutsche Shell AG. In 1991 he became managing director of Helios Energieanlagen GmbH, a subsidiary for district heating and energy systems. Schwesinger was a member of the Hamburg parliament for the CDU from 1991 to 1993 . There he was for his group in the Committee on Ports, Economy and Agriculture and in the Committee on Budgets. In 1994 he moved from Hamburg to Frankfurt and became managing director of the Frankfurt Economic Development Corporation. From August 2005 to February 2013 he was Managing Director of FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH International Marketing of the Region.
