Hartmut Vierk

Hartmut Vierk (born February 11, 1959 ) is a German table tennis player . He was four times GDR champion.

Career

Vierk played for Motor Finsterwalde in the early 1970s and for BSG Automation Cottbus in the 1980s . In 1986 he moved to WBK Erfurt . Together with Diethelm Bessert he won the GDR championship in doubles four times, namely in 1985, 1986, 1987 and 1990. He reached the final twice in singles, which he lost in 1985 to Andreas Mühlfeld and in 1988 to Uwe Lindenlaub .

After the reunification he played with ESV Lok Cottbus in the major league . In 1999 he joined the top division club Blau-Weiß Petershagen . In 2006 he moved to TSG Lübben . Since 2010 he has been playing with the TTC Empor Herzberg in the association league.
