As a 15-year-old Ishikawa first took part in FIS races in December 2009 . Her first appearances in the Far East Cup followed in March 2010. The first victory in an FIS race she achieved in January 2011, the first podium in the Far East Cup on March 3 of the same year. Soon a specialization in the technical disciplines became apparent, but she also regularly competed in Super G races. In the following years she achieved numerous good results in the Far East Cup, with her first victory in this racing series on January 14, 2013 in the giant slalom of Yongpyong . In 2014 she took part in the Junior World Championship in Sochi . With five podium places (but without a win), she won the slalom classification in the 2015/16 Far East Cup .
Ishikawa made her debut in the World Cup on October 22nd, 2016 in the giant slalom on the Rettenbachferner in Sölden , where she finished 47th. Further appearances in the World and European Cups did not produce any countable results. In the 2017/18 Far East Cup , she was on the podium eleven times, four of them as the winner. This was enough in the overall ranking, the giant slalom ranking and the slalom ranking for second place behind Sakurako Mukōgawa . Because of these good results, she qualified for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , where she finished 32nd in the giant slalom. On October 27, 2018, she took 28th place in the giant slalom in Sölden, winning World Cup points for the first time.
