Hasanabad ( Persian : حسن اباد, also known as Gassanabad ) is a village in the district of Nowshahr in the Iranian province of Mazandaran . At the 2006 census, the population was 1,099 in 301 families.

Hasanabad is located on the Caspian Sea and is close to the Elburs Mountains . The four-lane Nowshahr-Mahmudabad Road connects Hasanabad and connects it with the cities of Royan and Nowshahr . There are some cafes and restaurants in Hasanadad. Almost exclusively ethnic Masanderans of Shiite faith live in Hasanabad .
