Hase Island and Hase Altarm is a former nature reserve in the Lower Saxon town of Haselünne in the Emsland district .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG WE 036 was 13.6  hectares in size. It was part of the FFH area "Lower Haseniederung". The area was under nature protection since January 13, 1940. On July 1, 2017, the newly designated nature reserve " Natura 2000 nature reserve in the lower Haseniederung " opened up. The responsible lower nature conservation authority was the district of Emsland.

The former nature reserve is located east of the Meppen district of Bokeloh in the lowland area of the Hase . It is formed by a 900 meter long arm of the hare. The peninsula surrounded by the oxbow lake is mostly made up of English oaks . The oxbow lake has a very rich floating leaf vegetation . There is also a 10 meter high impact slope in the nature reserve .
