The Hase und Igel Verlag specializes in educational textbooks and books for children and young people . The publishing house is based in Munich; delivery is located in Oberhaching . The managing partner is Heinz-Jürgen Valeske.

Publishing history

The publishing house was founded in 1995 in Munich, initially as a mail-order bookshop with offers to promote reading. In 2000, the company started its own publishing program with class readings and curriculum-oriented accompanying materials. Since then, the publisher's range has been expanded to include the areas of crèche and kindergarten, children's non-fiction books and speech therapy learning games.
