Mirjam Müntefering

Mirjam Müntefering (born January 29, 1969 in Neheim-Hüsten , Sauerland ) is a German journalist and writer .

Life

Mirjam Müntefering is the daughter of SPD politician Franz Müntefering . In her youth she was active with the Jusos . She studied theater and film studies at the Ruhr University in Bochum , was trained as a television journalist and worked in this profession for several years. She also wrote books for young people. Müntefering has been working as a writer since 2000. She is also the owner of a dog school in Hattingen . With her partner Sabine, with whom she is a 2009 partnership was received, to Muentefering is a same-sex partnerships for equality. Because of the Roman Catholic Church's dealings with homosexuality , she resigned from the Church. In 2009 she was awarded the Augspurg Heymann Prize by the LAG Lesbians in NRW for her commitment to lesbian politics.

Books

Muentefering writes about bourgeois and middle class . She also addresses the problems of young people dealing with their homosexual feelings and living them. Another field at Müntefering is books for children and young people about domestic dogs .
