Gabriele Beyerlein
Gabriele Beyerlein (born March 1, 1949 in Roding ) is a German author for children and young people .
Live and act
Gabriele Beyerlein studied psychology in Vienna and Erlangen , where she also received her doctorate . She then worked in social science research and teaching for seven years.
She has been a freelance writer since 1987 and addresses children, adolescents and adults with her stories , novels and narrative non-fiction books . Her special focus is on archaeological and historical novels for young people , but she also celebrated great success with fantastic literature . Between 2005 and 2009 she also published a multiple award-winning “Berlin Trilogy ”, which uses three female protagonists as an example to deal with the history of women at the end of the 19th century in the German Empire .
Her numerous books for children and young people have appeared among others. a. at Thienemann Verlag and Arena Verlag . Since 2011 she has also published new editions of her out of print titles in the Gegenwind edition .
Gabriele Beyerlein now lives in Darmstadt , is married and has two children.
