Tilman Michalski

Tilman Michalski (* 1941 in Munich ) is a German graphic artist and illustrator .

Live and act

Tilman Michalski studied from 1961 to 1968 at the Academy of Fine Arts and the Academy for the Graphic Arts in Munich. He then worked for several years in various advertising agencies. Since 1976 he has worked as a freelance illustrator for German magazines, book publishers and advertising and has designed numerous book covers and interior illustrations as well as posters and record sleeves.

Equipped with his own studio since 1978, he and Ute Michalski have been publishing children's art and children's activity books under the label Ute & Tilman Michalski since 1986 with licensed editions in France, Benelux countries, Denmark, Hungary, Poland and Japan.

Tilman Michalski lives with his wife Ute Michalski in Munich.
