Location of Haseler Mühle in Saarland

The Haseler Mühle is a single farm and belongs to the district town of Neunkirchen (Saar) . It is located on Landstrasse 226 between Bexbach ( Saarpfalz district ) and Ludwigsthal (Neunkirchen).

history

The princes of Nassau-Saarbrücken and Nassau-Weilburg allowed Meier Johannes Hassler to build a flour and ohlig mill in 1748 . She officially belonged to the Office of Homburg . In 1755 the Prince of Nassau-Saarbrücken exchanged his share in the Homburg office for the places Frankenholz and Bliesransbach . The Haseler Mühle and Rothmühle officially belonged to Bexbach.

It did not stay in the family for long. When Johannes Hassler died childless in 1758, his closest relatives sold her. Johannes Link from Mittelbexbach took over the mill. In 1806 it was acquired by Christian Eisenbeis, whose family managed it until 1862. Then the owner changed again. Georg Hauck acquired the less and less profitable mill that was affected by industrialization . In 1881 it was auctioned off and bought by Johann Breit. It came into the family property of the Schleppi family from Niederbexbach in 1885 . But Schleppis did not keep the mill for long either. In 1896 it was taken over by Peter Koch and in 1904 by master locksmith Jakob Schmidt. So it came into the hands of the brothers Otto and Friedrich Schmidt. The latter was brewery director of the Neunkircher Schloßbrauerei and intended to turn it into a bone mill. It remained in family ownership.

After the First World War , it was bought by the Neunkirchen community and closed. The property was left to various tenants and was used exclusively for agriculture. After the territorial and administrative reform in 1974 , the homestead belonging to the Bexbacher Bann was incorporated into the city of Neunkirchen together with Ludwigsthal.

Today there is an integration company on the site with a focus on agriculture . The integration company of the new work Saar, which was built with the support of Aktion Mensch , currently offers work for 12 people with and without disabilities.
