Haskell V. Anderson III

Haskell Vaughn Anderson III (born 1943 in New York City ) is an American film and theater actor .

Life

Haskell V. Anderson grew up in New York, where he was trained. As a freshman in college, he worked as a professional teenage model. Within a few months, he became the city's highest paid black teenage model, appearing in various national magazines and newspapers.

During a pre-medical school he came into contact with the theater and played the role of Dolan in the play Mr. Roberts . After college and serving in the Navy, Anderson went to Cleveland to work as a salesman. Later he was an apprentice there for a year at the theater. He then went back to New York to star in the Off-Broadway theater group. This was followed by a brief stint at the Barter Theater in Norfolk . When he returned to New York, he auditioned for his first role in a feature film, Brotherhood of Death (1976).

Back in Los Angeles, Anderson played even more often for the theater and also appeared in student films. Haskell Anderson continued acting as a member of the Pacific Resident Theater , along with famous personalities from film and television such as Orson Bean , Alley Mills and Jordan Baker .

He was nominated twice for the NAACP Image Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Haskell V. Anderson has been married to Sarita Marie Ursula since November 14, 1987 .
