Hasso Wolf (born July 30, 1926 , † January 29, 2009 in Cologne ) was a German radio presenter.

Wolf began his career with the NWDR after World War II . He started in September 1946 at the NWDR with the program "Aktuell Wort", in April 1951 he switched to the reporting department. After the channel was split up, he worked for WDR .

On October 8, 1951, Igor Stravinsky conducted the opening concert for the large broadcasting hall of the Funkhaus Wallrafplatz with the German premiere of his wind symphony . That was the beginning of the concert series Musik der Zeit , which until 1953 was entitled “Concerts for New Music”. Wolf was their moderator from the start. As part of this series, there were important performances, such as the world premiere of Karlheinz Stockhausen's Gesang der Jünglinge on May 30, 1956, Stockhausen's "Gruppen für 3 Orchester" on March 24, 1958 or world premieres by Hans Werner Henze and Bernd Alois Zimmermann on March 27 November 1958. Wolf remained its moderator until his retirement in July 1991. From 1951 to 1991 Hasso Wolf was also the presenter of the port concerts, which were mainly broadcast live from the port of Duisburg. A trademark of his moderation were the interviews and reports, with which he enriched the otherwise musical program.

"Funkhaus Wallrafplatz" is the oldest audience participation program with direct telephone conversations between the listener and the moderator, its founding phase is also connected with the moderator Hasso Wolf; In 1978 he also took over “Funkhaus Wallrafplatz on the way”.

In 1977 Wolf, who played a key role in the development of several WDR local studios, received the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon . He was also awarded the Order of Merit of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia . Wolf retired in July 1991.
