Hasso von Flemming

Tam Hasso Graf von Flemming-Benz (born August 3, 1838 in Basenthin , Cammin district , Western Pomerania , † June 3, 1896 in Benz ) was a German manor owner and member of parliament.

His parents were Franz Wilhelm Karl von Flemming (* November 3, 1802; † July 20, 1887) and his wife Franziska von Schöning (* July 3, 1811; † December 13, 1894).

Life

Hasso von Flemming studied at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1860 he became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Heidelberg . He became Fideikommissherr on Benz and hereditary lord on Basenthin , Böck, Schnatow and Nemitz. Through professional sheep breeding, he expanded his property to include numerous goods.

Flemming was landscape councilor for the Pomeranian landscape and hereditary land marshal of the Pomerania region . From 1868 to 1870 Flemming sat for the constituency of Stettin 6 (Greifenberg, Kammin) in the Prussian House of Representatives . He belonged to the faction of the Conservative Party .

In 1888 he was raised to the Prussian count (hereditary, in Primogenitur ).

He was married to Else Freiin von Steinäcker (1847–1934). His sons included Curd Graf von Flemming-Benz (1868–1942), member of the Prussian manor house and the German-conservative Reichstag member Karl von Flemming- Basenthin.
