Traudl Vogler

Gertraud "Traudl" Vogler (born September 21, 1941 in Augsburg ; † December 28, 2009 there ) was a German stage designer , puppeteer and voice actress .

Life

Gertraud Vogler studied painting and graphics for a few semesters at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . In 1958 she was discovered by the theater director Walter Oehmichen . At the Augsburger Puppenkiste she first learned to play puppets , later she designed backdrops and stage sets . She also worked as a voice actress for the theater. In 1961 she designed the sets for So Hi and the White Horse and in the same year for the television production Jim Button and Lukas the Engine Driver . In addition to her work at the theater, she worked as an art teacher first in Krumbach , then in Augsburg at specialist academies for social education. Vogler lived in Diedorf near Augsburg and died in 2009 after a serious illness.
