Hassoun Camara (born February 3, 1984 in Noisy-le-Sec ) is a former French football player .

Career

Hassoun Camara started his career as a senior soccer player in 2003 at Olympique Noisy-le-Sec from his hometown. After three years in which he was able to convince there as a solid defender, the French first division club Olympique Marseille noticed the player, so that Camara finally switched to professional football at the age of 22. His expectations were not met in Marseille; after a year and a half and without a single professional assignment, he left Marseille again.

In January 2008 he signed a three-year contract with the French second division club SC Bastia , where he was used regularly. In January 2011, Camara moved to Montreal Impact in the North American NASL .

Montreal Impact has been participating in Major League Soccer since the 2012 season. Camara was able to establish himself as a regular in the defense of Montreal and played in 20 games in 2012. In the 2013 season he was used in 32 games, scoring three goals. In 2014 it ran 28 times. In 2013 and 2014 he won the Canadian Championship , the Canadian cup competition, with Montreal Impact .

In the 2015 season he lost his regular place in the defense of Montreal Impact due to a serious knee injury and was loaned to FC Montréal for rehabilitation after his injury break .
