The building at Hauptstrasse 44 , the so-called Alte Post in Frickenhausen am Main , a municipality in the district of Würzburg in Bavaria , was essentially built in 1453 and expanded in 1649 and 1704 to 1725. The residential building is a protected architectural monument . The former town hall and trading house stood empty in 2011 and was offered for sale.

The two-storey, plastered cripple hipped roof building with a half-timbered upper storey has a covered gate entrance with a half-timbered upper storey and a gable roof . The ground floor is made of solid rubble stone . Major alterations were made in the 18th century.

Historical furnishings such as the Gothic entrance door, original leaded glass windows , stucco ceilings , coffered ceilings and wall paintings are still there.
