Gertrud House

The Haus Gertrud is the Roseggerstraße 3 in the district Serkowitz the Saxon town of Radebeul .

It was built in 1907/1908 according to plans by the architect Oskar Menzel by the Serkowitz construction company FW Eisold by the owner Wilhelm Eisold on his own property.

Together with its enclosure under monument protection standing Villa is a two story villa with a high, barely developed brick hipped roof .

The symmetrically designed street view shows a polygonal entrance porch with an outside staircase and a mansard roof . Above that there is a stucco oval window, in the roof there is then a small roof pike . The windows are framed by folding shutters . In the left side view of a quarter of a circular two-storey is prior bay with "glass windows from the construction period" with a small conic roof. On the back of the building, a veranda faces the garden.

The plaster facades are delimited at the building edges by corner blocks. Overall , the house shows a restrained neo-empire style , the sparse stucco ornamentation has echoes of Art Nouveau .

The enclosure is a picket fence between plastered pillars.

history

Master builder Wilhelm Eisold applied as "builder, site manager and executor" in October 1907 to build a villa on his own property according to a design by Oskar Menzel. The approval for the house and the enclosure was granted in February 1908, and in August 1908 the master builder Johannes Eisold , Wilhelm's youngest brother, asked for the building inspection.

In 1928, a roof window was installed in the right side view of the house.
