The house at Große Brüdergasse 1 , located on the corner of Schloßstraße , was probably a residential building in Dresden that was built in the 13th century . In 1929 the "important town house that had a seven hundred year history" was demolished. The new Alsberg department store was built in its place .

According to Henning Prinz, the oldest documented building structure of the corner house at Große Brüdergasse 1 dates from the middle of the 13th century, which means that a two-storey stone house in the Romanesque style may have existed. At the end of the 15th century or the beginning of the 16th century, a renovation took place, resulting in the late Gothic window frames of the now three-story house. A third floor with Renaissance gables was added in the second half of the 16th century . The bay itself, an ingredient for 1650/60 had Henning Prince states that "as a precious diadem."

According to Cornelius Gurlitt , the house had a two-story bay window. This was based on two consoles and a wide bearing stone that was located between these two consoles. On the first floor of the bay window there were finely fluted Corinthian three-quarter columns. Between these was a bow with gussets in rich flat ornament. On the railing on the second floor of the bay window was a rich baroque - cartridge mounted at the corners of the pedestals were located fruit garlands . Winding Corinthian three-quarter columns rose above it. Vine tendrils rose from these pillars; also on the kids. According to Gurlitt, the work is said to have been created around 1650, similar to the bay window on Wilsdruffer Strasse 14 .
