House Raedt

Haus Raedt is a noble seat north of Vorst , a district of Tönisvorst .

The mansion dates from the 17th century. The curved stepped gable, window and portal are elements of the Tudor style . The western porch with the portal dates from the 19th century. The three-story, six-sided Berfes brick dates from the first half of the 17th century. A simple square tower bears the year 1635. Haus Raedt is the only one of the permanent houses in Vorst that has remained in the possession of a noble family to this day. The moats fell dry after the end of the Second World War .
