Haus Broich (from: Bruch = swamp area) is a former manor in Willich between the districts of Willich and Anrath . The estate was first mentioned in 1247 as a property of Adolf de Broich. After numerous changes of ownership, including to the von der Brügghen family , House Broich was sold in 1694 as a noble, allodial knight's seat.

After it was sold in 1865, the property was uninhabited and visibly deteriorated; the outer bailey was largely destroyed in a fire . In 1895 the estate was sold to a Cologne manufacturer who had the manor house demolished and in 1898 built what is now known as Haus Broich on this site.

The farm buildings were also rebuilt as a square courtyard at the turn of the century . Today the farm is owned by the former show jumping world champion Norbert Koof and since 2006 one of two locations of the NRW state police squadron.

Except for the destruction of the upper part of the large tower, the mansion building remained undamaged during the Second World War .

In 1946, at the suggestion of the then Aachen Bishop Johannes Joseph van der Velden, nuns of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Elisabeth moved to Haus Broich to set up a sanctuary for religiously oriented groups such as scouts or altar servers. Shortly afterwards, however, a group of refugees from a children's home, also run by sisters, was accepted in Waldenburg , Silesia , and the facility continued as a children's home. From 1956 to 1976, a special school boarding school was also housed to promote the language of ethnic Germans. The children's home existed until 1986, after which the building was temporarily used by residents of a Krefeld retirement home, whose building was renovated.

1980–1981 the gatehouse was repaired. In 1994 the building was completely renovated, from 1995 to 2006 Haus Broich was used by the order as a spiritual center.

In September 2007 the listed mansion was sold to XCOM AG and from May 2008 to June 2016 housed the business premises of the XCOM subsidiary Biw Bank for investments and securities .

Since May 2018 the BoMa Vermögensverwaltungsgesellschaft with the managing director Luca Bonsignore has acquired the property and leased it to its own company, Privatschule Carpe Diem Haus Broich GmbH, which operates a private school with boarding school here.
