Norbert Koof

Norbert Koof (born September 13, 1955 ) is a former German show jumper and today's entrepreneur in the equestrian sector .

Life

In the 1980s and 1990s, he celebrated considerable sporting success. The highlight of his career was winning the individual world championship in 1982 in Dublin on the chestnut gelding Fire . At the age of 26, Norbert Koof was the youngest individual world champion in show jumping of all time. In a training accident in February 1994, he compressed a vertebra and has been dependent on a wheelchair ever since. This injury led to a professional reorientation and he expanded his riding facility into a training center for riders and horses. He breeds, trains and mainly sells young horses there. The NRW regional police squadron has been on this farm since 2006 .

Norbert Koof lives with his daughter in Willich on the Lower Rhine .
