The house Schössergasse 16 ("Bosesches Haus") was a noble house in Dresden . The house was destroyed in 1945, the reconstruction took place in 2010/12 including the historical cellars, the main portal and the bay window.

history

The "Bosesche Haus" was based on an older building from the mid-16th century. This is indicated by the windows on the ground floor, which have profiled window walls. In 1622 it was described as an "electoral building". From 1679 to 1696 the house belonged to the war councilor Christoph Dietrich von Bose . The renovation took place in 1680, and the upper floors were also built. The gilded leather wallpapers that adorned the large corner rooms probably came from the 17th century. In 1709 the house described as " Freihaus " came through Ursula Margareta von Carlowitz, b. von Bose to the Kammer- und Bergrat and Saxon chief miner Hans Carl von Carlowitz . In 1713, Elector August the Strong bought it for the Secret War College . From 1722 to 1832 the Bosesche Haus was also the repository of the Electoral Saxon Armory and later the Royal Saxon Armory. From 1832 to 1846 the house was used as accommodation for the technical educational institute. It was then used as an administration building until it was destroyed in 1945.

description

The building had two wings and stood on the corner of Schössergasse and Sporergasse. The wing on Schössergasse was six axes wide, where the portal was located. The facade on Sporergasse was nine axes wide and showed a two-story bay window that was decorated with hangings of leaves and cloth. It was considered "one of the most beautiful in the city and stylistically very close to the architecture of the palace on a large scale." The portal shows the coat of arms of Christian Dietrich von Boses and Ursula von Gustedt.
