In 1300 the Steingaden monastery acquired a farm from Heinrich Mueslin and in 1267 the Irsee monastery acquired two men from Conrad von Mattsies. The monastery expanded its property in Hausen in 1304 with fields from Heinrich Meringer. In 1403 Heinrich von Angelberg sold a farm to Cuntz Laten, a citizen of Mindelheim. Heinrich von Angelberg and his nephew accepted an arbitration award in 1405 that transferred claims to a court to Ulrich von Teck. In 1424 Ulrich von Teck acquired a farm from Jörg von Lichtenau, Peter Ameiß was named as a farmer and serf. In connection with the still existing mill, different millers were named in 1438, 1492 and 1543. Utz Huser the Elder , originally from Hausen, was mayor of Mindelheim in 1431. In 1467, 36 carnival hens were delivered to the Mindelheim lords of Frundsberg . The Frundsberger Zoller in Hausen was mentioned in 1471. Today a house on the road to Zaisertshofen bears the name. A Balthasar Singer appeared in 1567 as a manorial forester and fisherman at Hausen .

On May 1, 1978, the previously independent place was incorporated into the municipality of Salgen.

In 1523 Georg von Frundsberg donated a chaplaincy to the St. Bartholomew and Holy Cross Church as a branch of the Pfaffenhausen parish . However, he reserved the right of patronage. Hausen has been an independent parish since 1851.
