Location of Häver in Kirchlengern

Häver is a district of the municipality of Kirchlengern in northeast North Rhine-Westphalia with around 1900 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2009) .

Before 1969, Häver formed its own municipality in the Kirchlengern district . As part of the municipal regional reform on January 1, 1969, it was merged with other municipalities to form the new municipality of Kirchlengern. Häver is divided into two settlement areas. The old historical town center on Häverstraße shows a picture that is predominantly characterized by rural courtyard buildings. A few hundred meters to the south, a closed housing estate developed between Hüllerstraße, Häverstraße and Luisenstraße from the 1950s. There are also facilities for local supply, Häver had its own primary school until 2016

Fire Brigade Museum

The Friends' Association of the Kirchlengern Fire Brigade Museum maintains an exhibition on the site at Häverstrasse 188. Different uniforms, tools and vehicles are shown here in well-structured departments. All vehicles and turntable ladders on display are ready for use. The museum is open on the first and last Sunday of the month from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In this museum the vehicles and equipment of the Association for the Preservation of Historic Fire Fighting Vehicles Bückeburg are shown as exhibits.
