Monastery peasantry is an approximately 2500 inhabitants counting district of the northeastern North Rhine-Westphalia located east Westphalian municipality Kirchlengern in Herford .

history

Before 1969, monastery farmers formed their own parish in the Kirchlengern district . As part of the municipal regional reform on January 1, 1969, it was merged with other municipalities to form the new municipality of Kirchlengern.

In the south it borders on Randringhausen that belongs to Bünde . Its western neighbors are thin and in the north it borders on the upper peasantry , which belongs to the Minden-Lübbecke district. In the east, the village borders on Quernheim Abbey and Rehmerloh .

Large cities in the wider area are Bielefeld around 25 kilometers away and Osnabrück around 40 kilometers away.
