Haworthia outeniquensis is a species of the genus Haworthia in the subfamily of the Affodill family (Asphodeloideae). The specific epithet outeniquensis refers to the occurrence of the species in the Outeniqua Mountains in South Africa.

Haworthia outeniquensis grows stemless and sprouts. The upright to almost upright leaves form a seated rosette with a diameter of 4 to 6 centimeters. The yellowish green leaf blade is up to 6 inches long, 0.6 to 1 inch wide and 0.2 to 0.3 inches thick. Their inwardly curved tips bear a 2 millimeter long awn. There are transparent confluent points on the leaf surface. The convex upper side of the leaf is covered with four to five rows of conspicuous transparent dots. On the underside of the leaf, which is also convex, there are three to six rows of translucent points. The sharp leaf keel has a thorn up to 1 millimeter long . The leaf margin is similarly thorn.

The inflorescence consists of seven to 15 flowers . The white and yellowish green flowers are 15 millimeters long and stand on 4 to 6 millimeter long peduncles .

Systematics and distribution

Haworthia outeniquensis is widespread in the South African province of Western Cape in the municipality of Oudtshoorn .

The first description by Martin Bruce Bayer was published in 1999.
