Haworthia variegata is a species of the genus Haworthia in the subfamily of the Affodilla family (Asphodeloideae).

Haworthia variegata grows without a stem and sprouts. The 30 to 40 upright, slender, lanceolate leaves form a rosette with a diameter of up to 4 centimeters. The dark green leaf blade is variegated . The leaf edge and the leaf quill are thorny.

The slender, loose inflorescence reaches a length of up to 35 centimeters and consists of 15 to 20 flowers . The flowers are greenish white and have a brownish vein.

Systematics and distribution

Haworthia variegata is widespread in the Western Cape province of South Africa.

The first description by Louisa Bolus was published in 1929.

Nomenclatory synonyms are Haworthia chloracantha subsp. variegata (L.Bolus) Halda (1997) and Haworthia chloracantha var. variegata (L.Bolus) Halda (1997).
