Sarah Hayley Orrantia (born February 21, 1994 in Arlington , Texas ), better known as Hayley Orrantia , is an American actress . She gained notoriety for portraying Erica Goldberg in the comedy series Die Goldbergs .

biography

Hayley Orrantia was born in Arlington , Texas and grew up nearby in Grand Prairie and Highland Village . She is of Mexican descent. She attended Edward S. Marcus High School in Flower Mound .

Orrantia began singing and writing professionally at the age of 13, and learned the piano from 15. She sang the song Magic of a Friend in the Disney movie Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure . At 15, she starred in a commercial for Sprint and was the backing singer on the soundtracks of Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam and Hannah Montana Forever . In 2011 she starred in the independent film Cooper and the Castle Hills Gang , which won an award at the Dallas International Film Festival.

She later applied for the first season of The X Factor in the United States and became part of the band called Lakoda Rayne , which made it into the fifth week of live shows.

Orrantia has appeared as Erica Goldberg in the ABC comedy series The Goldbergs since 2013 .

Her first own single, Strong, Sweet & Southern , is about traditional values ​​in the southern United States. The music video released in October 2016 was shot in Nashville .
