He's Out There (English for: He's out there ) is an American horror film of Quinn Lasher from the year 2018 .

Laura would like to go on holiday with her family in a secluded holiday home by the lake, like every year. She travels alone with her daughters Kayla and Maddie, her husband Shawn will follow. Shortly after arriving, the children are lured into the forest by a red thread, where they find two cupcakes. While Kayla takes hers to the holiday home, Maddie eats the second and shortly afterwards shows nausea and shortness of breath. Finally she chokes out a piece of cloth that says "Hello". The second cupcake also contains a message: "Goodbye". Apparently the family is being molested by a psychopath.
After dark, Laura notices that the house is being watched by an unknown person. Since her husband has not yet arrived, the phone in the house was interrupted and her cell phone was stolen from the car, Laura tries to drive away with the children in the car. However, the car was tampered with, the wheel nuts on the driver's side were removed and the wheels come loose after starting off. Laura and her girls flee back into the house and barricade themselves. When Shawn arrives, he is murdered by the masked stranger before he can reach the house. The stranger kills another neighbor before he can respond to Laura's calls for help. Then Laura is kidnapped from the house and locked in the trunk of Shawn's car. When she tries to flee, she is injured with an ax. The masked man tracks down the children in the house and stuns them and then takes them to the forest.
After dawn the masked man prepares to mutilate the children. He scratches out the eyes of two wooden figures modeled after the girls and cuts off one arm, then walks with the ax towards the children who have just awakened from the stupor. Laura was able to break free. She distracts the masked man and finally knocks him down with the ax. The film ends with her driving off with the girls in her husband's car.
