Hector Hogan
Hector Dennis "Hec" Hogan (born July 11, 1931 in Rockhampton , † September 2, 1960 in Brisbane ) was an Australian athlete who was successful in the sprint in the 1950s. He won ten Australian championships:

In international competitions he was able to win four bronze medals:
- As a member of the Australian 4 × 110-y relay at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Vancouver in 1954 (41.7 seconds) and 1958 in Cardiff (41.5 seconds)
- over 100 y at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games 1954 in Vancouver (9.7 sec.) and over 100 m at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne (10.6 sec / 10.77 sec el.) behind the two Americans Bobby Morrow and Thane Baker (both 10.5 sec.). Over 200 m he was eliminated in the quarterfinals with 21.7 seconds.
Hector Hogan died of leukemia at the age of 29 .
