history

The mill from the west

In 1750 Lank was released from the mill compulsion of the Linner mills ( Geismühle and Wassermühle ) and received permission to build his own mill. This was the Heidbergmühle (built in 1751/52); the Teloy mill in Lank was not built until 70 years later. In statistics from 1832, the Heidbergmühle is only called "Old Mill" , the Teloy Mill , which was built shortly before, is only called "New Mill" .

From 1886 to 1904 the mill was also operated as a steam mill when there was no wind . The mill operated until 1926. The property was designed to be close to nature by the current owner, who has lived in the mill property since 1970. Today the formerly free-standing mill is surrounded by tall trees.

As a maintenance measure, the mill hood was re-covered in 1980.

The mill is one of the Meerbusch architectural monuments .
