Heidenreich Droste zu Vischering (* 1540 , † 1622 ) was Droste in the offices of Ahaus and Horstmar.

Life

Origin and family

Heidenreich came from as the son of the couple Heidenreich Droste zu Vischering (1508–1588) and Jaspara zu Hoberg and Kaldenhof, one of the oldest and best-known Westphalian noble families . Not only numerous Catholic dignitaries emerged from the Vischering family, but also from 1549 to 1803 the disapprovals in the offices of Ahaus and Horstmar. His younger brother Heinrich , who was also called Heidenreich, was a cathedral scholar in Münster.

Heinrich was married to Cornelia von Ketteler zu Hovestadt . The daughter Elisabeth and the sons Gottfried (1579–1652, cathedral choirmaster and cathedral curator), Heidenreich (1580–1643, official dismissal) and Adolf Heinrich († 1650, cathedral provost), emerged from the marriage.

Career

Heidenreich was accepted into the Münster cathedral chapter around 1552. He resigned in 1577 in favor of Johann von Letmathe and married shortly afterwards. On September 28, 1578, he was appointed as his father's successor to the official resignation in Ahaus. His son Heidenreich was assigned to him in the Drostenamt in April 1611 and replaced him in his office in 1616.
