Heidi Rosenbaum

Heidi Rosenbaum (born January 9, 1943 in Hanover ) is a German folklorist.

Life

She completed her studies (1962–1967) in Hamburg and Göttingen with a degree in social economics. From 1967 to 1973 she was a research assistant at the Sociological Institute of the University of Marburg . After receiving his doctorate in 1971 as Dr. phil. At the Philosophical Faculty in Marburg , she received a habilitation grant from the DFG in 1974 and 1975 . After her habilitation in 1981 at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Göttingen ( Venia legendi for Sociology ), she worked on the DFG project “Changes in the role of the father in German working-class families in the early 20th century” from 1983 to 1991. In 1992 she was appointed adjunct professor . In 1993 she was appointed professor for Folklore / European Ethnology in Göttingen. Since 1999 she has been in charge of the “Everyday Children's Day under National Socialism” project (financed by the Volkswagen Foundation ). In 2006 he retired .

Her main research interests are historical family research, childhood research, and worker culture research.
