Heidrun Globig

Heidrun Globig (born March 1, 1972 in Bad Homburg ) is a former German basketball player .

career

Globig played at the TG Bad Homburg and was promoted at the basketball part-time boarding school in Langen. In August 1989 she took part with the German selection at the  European Cadet Championships in Romania and was the Germans' second-best scorer with 6.7 points per match. In 1994 she came to Bundesliga club VfL Marburg through MTV Kronberg . In early December 1995 she moved within the Marburg league to TV Bensberg .

From the 1996/97 season, the winger reinforced the Wolfenbüttel Baskets (also 1st Bundesliga). In the 1998/99 season Globig was the top performer of BG 89 Rotenburg / Scheeßel in the 2nd regional league and showed some outstanding performances in this division, on the last day of play she scored 49 points against Oldenburg. For the 2000/01 season she returned to the first division and joined the newly promoted Bundesliga SC Rist Wedel  . In the 2001/02 season Globig was also on the field for Wedel in the Bundesliga. In March 2001 she moved into the German Cup final with Wedel, but lost there against Wuppertal. From January 2004 the 1.80 meter long winger joined the regional league team VfL Pinneberg .
