Heidrun Rueda

Heidrun Rueda (born August 17, 1963 in Magdeburg ) is a German painter.

Life

Heidrun Rueda studied painting and graphics at the University of Fine Arts in Dresden . This was followed by a two-year master class course . Several study trips took her from 1991 to 2000 to Peru , Bolivia and Chile . She is married to the painter Ralf Kerbach and lives in Berlin and Biesenthal .

In large-format series of images of airplanes and landscapes based on photographic templates, Rueda deals with the relationship between technology and reality, as well as questions of the perception of time (deceleration). Among other things, she deals with works by Paul Virilio .

She works on drawings, among other things, for literary works, primarily for poetry . Your comic Mogadishu. The story of an airplane hijacking deals with the hijacking of the plane "Landshut" for the liberation of imprisoned members of the RAF in 1977.

In 1996 she received a Saxon state grant, in 1999 a working grant from the Berlin Cultural Fund Foundation, and in 2004 a residence grant at the Künstlerhaus Schloss Wiepersdorf . In 2005 she was nominated for the Energy Art Prize and in 2010 for a scholarship from the Villa Aurora in Los Angeles.
