Heidy Margrit Müller

Heidy Margrit Müller (born October 10, 1952 in Baar ) is a Swiss Germanist .

Life

Müller studied German, philosophy and Scandinavian studies in Basel, Copenhagen and Zurich and received his doctorate in 1983 from the University of Basel with a thesis on "The representation of Jews in German-language narrative prose (1945–1981)" . From 1984 to 1991 she was lecturer for German-language literature at the University of Ghent , and from 1991 to 1996 owner of a research center of the Belgian National Fund for Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (NFWO) .

From 1992 to 1996 Müller worked as a private lecturer at the University of Basel, where she was appointed adjunct professor in 1996. From 1996 to 2012 she was professor for German-language literature at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel .

On February 3, 2015 she was awarded the Cross of Honor for Art and Science 1st Class of the Republic of Austria in the Austrian Embassy in Bern .
