Heigenkam (Otterfing)

Heigenkam is a district of Otterfing in the Miesbach district . The wasteland is located directly on the district border with Munich, about 2.4 kilometers northwest of the center in the direction of Arget .

The ending -kam , Upper German for -heim, indicates a settlement around the 7th / 8th centuries. Century. Heigenkam was first mentioned in a document in 1497 in a tradition book of the Tegernsee Monastery as "Helkam". At that time the hamlet belonged to Wettlkam .

Infrastructure

The village is dominated by agriculture, including a riding facility. The hamlet consists of the Heigenkamer Hof, the Heigenkamer Weg and the foal pasture and has around 35 residents.

The road MB 2 leads through Heigenkam.
