Palnkam is a district of Otterfing in the Miesbach district . The village is about 1.6 kilometers southwest of the center in the direction of Holzkirchen .

history

The ending -kam , Upper German for -heim, indicates a settlement around the 7th / 8th century. Palnkam was first mentioned in a document in 1289 in a tradition book of the Tegernsee Monastery as "Paltenchaim".

Infrastructure and sights

The village is dominated by agriculture; A small chapel from 1701 is well worth seeing. Immediately to the south runs the Teufelsgraben , a dry valley of the last Isar glacier.
