Heike Bockmann

Heike Bock man (* 30th April 1954 in Einbeck ) is a German SPD - politician . From 1998 to 2008 she was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament . She is married and has three sons.

Professional background

Heike Bockmann graduated from high school in 1973. She studied law at the Georg-August University in Göttingen and worked as legal counsel for the district government in the Weser-Ems administrative region until she was elected to the state parliament in 1998 . After becoming a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament, from 2009 she was head of the nature conservation division and vice-director of the Lower Saxony state agency for water management, coastal and nature conservation . In 2010 she did her doctorate at Leuphana University Lüneburg on the law of parliamentary committees of inquiry .

Political career

Heike Bockmann joined the SPD in 1989. She was a member of the City Council of Oldenburg (Oldb) from 1991 to the 2000s and was elected to the state parliament for the first time in 1998. She belonged to the executive committee of the SPD parliamentary group in the state parliament and was a member of the committee for legal and constitutional questions, the committee for the preparation of the election of the members of the state court and she was chair of the election review committee.

At the state election conference of the SPD on February 23, 2007 in Oldenburg, Heike Bockmann did not achieve the necessary result to be able to run for the Lower Saxony state parliament again. The former press spokesman for the city of Oldenburg, Jürgen Krogmann, prevailed against them .

Heike Bockmann is a member of the ver.di union . She is also a deputy member of the administrative board of the Landessparkasse zu Oldenburg , member of the association assembly of the Sparkassenzweckverband and chairwoman of the shareholders' meeting of Weser-Ems-Halle .
